La vida en abundancia no es un destino; es un proceso de plenitud hacia algo más

El sábado 22 de marzo de 2025, en el mes de mi primer año de bautizado en la fe Adventista, fue especial en la Iglesia Adventista Ponce V la prédica del pastor Rafael Contreras; y fue significativa la alabanza por su hijo como edificacion de generaciones. 

Cada detalle y lección del servicio y cada vivencia en ese día con los hermanos de la fe, me confirmó que el mensaje de Jesús sobre la vida en abundancia, aplica a lo emocional y lo intelectual, lo económico, lo material y lo espiritual, en fin, a todas las áreas. 

Hace más de 500 años, la colonización trajo a Puerto Rico y países vecinos ideas contrarias a Jesús y la Palabra, como el culto a la pobreza y el sufrimiento. La vida en escasez y limitación, se traduce en frustración y depresión al no poder vivir realizaciones y no poder bendecir al máximo.

En contraste, Jesús obró milagros de sanación, bendición y multiplicación, y Elena White favoreció la prosperidad al establecer que las riquezas pueden transformarse en una bendición si son usadas correctamente. 

Esa sabiduría va de la mano con lo predicado por el Pastor Contreras de tener en todas las áreas de la vida, el amor y la causa de Dios. Esa visión convierte a la persona en representante de Jesús y la Iglesia ante el mundo y más: convierte a la vida en abundancia, en medio para glorificar mejor al Eterno mediante cada testimonio de compartir e inspirar, de educar a otros para progresar y de potenciar la obra del Señor. 

La vida en abundancia no es un destino; es un proceso de plenitud hacia algo más: Rompe cadenas de doctrinas incorrectas; crea los medios para bendecir superando barreras geográficas y socioeconómicas; y expande los alcances del amor eficaz en la ruta desde este mundo imperfecto y lo breve de la existencia, hacia la Eternidad.

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the month of my first year as a baptized Adventist, Pastor Rafael Contreras' sermon at the Ponce V Adventist Church was special; his praise for his son was significant as a means of edifying generations.

Every detail and lesson of the service and every experience that day with fellow believers confirmed to me that Jesus' message about life in abundance applies to the emotional and intellectual, the economic, the material and the spiritual—in short, to all areas.

More than 500 years ago, colonization brought to Puerto Rico and neighboring countries ideas contrary to Jesus and the Word, such as the cult of poverty and suffering. A life of scarcity and limitation translates into frustration and depression due to the inability to live fulfilling lives and to bless to the fullest.

In contrast, Jesus performed miracles of healing, blessing, and multiplication, and Ellen White promoted prosperity by establishing that riches can be transformed into a blessing if used correctly.

This wisdom goes hand in hand with Pastor Contreras's preaching of embracing the love and cause of God in all areas of life. This vision transforms a person into a representative of Jesus and the Church before the world, and more: it transforms life into abundance, a means to better glorify the Eternal One through every testimony of sharing and inspiring, educating others to progress, and empowering the work of the Lord.

Life in abundance is not a destination; It is a process of fulfillment toward something greater: It breaks the chains of incorrect doctrine; it creates the means to bless by overcoming geographical and socioeconomic barriers; and it expands the reach of effective love on the journey from this imperfect world and the brevity of existence toward Eternity.
