En el 2014 la película  “God's Not Dead” fue un éxito y desató mucho. Felicito a las estrellas en frente y detrás de las cámaras. 

El elenco incluyó a Kevin Sorbo, quien se destacó hace unos años en el personaje de Hércules, y en la película encarnó al profesor Radisson. La producción abordó el debate sobre el origen de la vida y la existencia de Dios que tanto apasiona a todas las corrientes de pensamiento religiosas, filosóficas, sociológicas y científicas.

En términos del libreto de la película, ciertamente se presentan grandes argumentos que confirman la existencia de Dios. Se trata del nivel de razonamiento. 

Sin embargo, en términos de lo que supera a la lógica y el razonamiento, en que Dios se hace presente mediante milagros, el libreto de la película es una negación de la fe.

Si vemos la Biblia, cuando Pablo tiene su Damasco (encuentro con el Señor), no murió, sino que comenzó una nueva jornada. Si vemos las historias y testimonios del mundo, quienes tienen encuentros comienzan una nueva vida.

En la película, el profesor Radisson tuvo el gran encuentro con el Señor que le movió a ir en pos de su amada para comunicarle su nueva conciencia, pero tuvo un accidente mortal y ese libreto le negó la oportunidad de una nueva vida en el Señor, como nuevo creyente. Así no debió ser.

Afortunadamente, estoy convencido de que si hubiese ocurrido en la vida real, el Señor lo protegía de cualquier accidente, se encontraba con su amada, y la fiesta divina por esa escena de beso y abrazo gloriosos con los pies en la tierra, hubiese sido como coros celestiales que casi detendrían al tiempo del planeta entero. 

La película tomó una ruta contraria y en ese sentido, cayó en una negación de la fe y del poder de Dios para obrar milagros de amor, sanidad, restauración y de todo tipo.

Por esa falla, no es excelente película. Sin embargo, tiene unos argumentos en los diálogos y debates que salvaron la producción.

Es positivo apoyar a las producciones cristianas porque el mundo necesita alternativas consagradas. Es grande orar por los realizadores de producciones cristianas para que enfaticen en que con el Eterno hay reales victorias y con Jesús hay plenitud y luz de Eternidad. Es grande buscar que nuestros testimonios inspiren a hacer realidad nuevas producciones que presenten fe con poder. 

Lo que corrige a “God's Not Dead” vive en el nuevo testimonio desde el mundo real: En cada sanación y restauración, en cada triunfo que rompe barreras de discrimen y estereotipo, en cada milagro de amor que supera distancias y teorías, en fin, en hacer presente a Jesús en nosotros.

In 2014 the movie “God's Not Dead” was a success and unleashed a lot. I congratulate the stars in front of and behind the cameras.

The cast included Kevin Sorbo, who stood out a few years ago in the character of Hercules, and in the film played Professor Radisson. The production addressed the debate on the origin of life and the existence of God that is so passionate about all religious, philosophical, sociological and scientific schools of thought.

In terms of the film's script, great arguments are certainly presented confirming the existence of God. It's about the level of reasoning.

However, in terms of what surpasses logic and reasoning, in which God makes himself present through miracles, the film's script is a denial of faith.

If we look at the Bible, when Paul has his Damascus (encounter with the Lord), he did not die, but began a new journey. If we see the stories and testimonies of the world, those who have encounters begin a new life.

In the film, Professor Radisson had the great encounter with the Lord that moved him to go after his beloved to communicate his new consciousness, but he had a fatal accident and that script denied him the opportunity for a new life in the Lord. as a new believer. That's not how it should have been.

Fortunately, I am convinced that if it had happened in real life, the Lord protected him from any accident, he met his beloved, and the divine celebration for that scene of glorious kiss and hug with his feet on the ground, would have been like celestial choirs that would almost stop the time of the entire planet.

The film took an opposite route and in that sense, fell into a denial of faith and the power of God to work miracles of love, healing, restoration and all kinds.

Because of that flaw, it is not an excellent film. However, it has some arguments in the dialogues and debates that saved the production.

It is positive to support Christian productions because the world needs consecrated alternatives. It is great to pray for the makers of Christian productions so that they emphasize that with the Eternal there are real victories and with Jesus there is fullness and light of Eternity. It is great to hope that our testimonies inspire new productions that present faith with power.

What corrects “God's Not Dead” lives in the new testimony from the real world: In every healing and restoration, in every triumph that breaks barriers of discrimination and stereotype, in every miracle of love that overcomes distances and theories, in short, in making Jesus present in us.
