El 22 de febrero se celebra el natalicio de George Washington. Washington creó la Presidencia de Estados Unidos. Más allá de los temas comúnmente asociados a George Washington, prefiero enfocarme en la relevancia de George Washington's Mount Vernon en Virginia, en donde vivió el gran líder.
Mount Vernon nos presenta el mejor cuadro de la esencia de George Washington como ser humano y su inspiración en contacto con la naturaleza y la dimensiónn de vida que eleva al alma. Recuerdo de mi primera visita a Mount Vernon que le encantó a mi madre.
Más recientemente, visitar Mount Vernon con mi hermana fue contemplar los escenarios con más amplia perspectiva sobre el estudio histórico y sobre la aplicación de la fe como revolución en el corazón y la existencia.
No acostumbro publicar fotos de vivencias personales. Hoy hago un cambio, como tributo de agradecimiento y amor a mis padres, a mi hermana, a mis sobrinos y a la esposa de mi sobrino.
El natalicio de George Washington y el recuerdo de haber caminado en Mount Vernon y contemplar el río Potomac que veía Washington en momentos de refleixión y de tomar decisiones, se unen en mi conciencia en tiempos atípicos y retadores en el mundo y en Puerto Rico; tiempos que requieren ánimo positivamente revolucionario.
Aspiro a que mis palabras inspiren a superar al insularismo, reconocer que lo patrio crece en lo multicultural, buscar realizar sueños desde la unificación familiar, atesorar cada tiempo y momento como regalo de Dios, reconocer fallas y buscar corregirlas, y trazar nuevos propósitos que glorifican al Eterno desde todo nivel de plenitud de vida, milagros y la bendición para bendecir.

February 22 marks the birthday of George Washington. Washington created the Presidency of the United States. Beyond the themes commonly associated with George Washington, I prefer to focus on the relevance of Mount Vernon in Virginia, where the great leader lived.
Mount Vernon presents us with the best picture of the essence of George Washington as a human being and his inspiration in contact with nature and the dimension of life that elevates the soul. I remember from my first visit to Mount Vernon that my mother loved it.
More recently, visiting Mount Vernon with my sister was to contemplate the scenarios with a broader perspective on historical study and on the application of faith as a revolution in the heart and existence.
I don't usually post photos of personal experiences. Today I make a change, as a tribute of gratitude and love to my parents, my sister, my nephews and my nephew's wife.
The birth of George Washington and the memory of having walked on Mount Vernon and contemplating the Potomac River that Washington saw in moments of reflection and making decisions, come together in my conscience in atypical and challenging times in the world and in Puerto Rico; times that require a positively revolutionary spirit.
I aspire that my words inspire us to overcome insularism, recognize that the patriotic grows in the multicultural, seek to realize dreams from family unification, treasure each time and moment as a gift from God, recognize failures and seek to correct them, and outline new purposes that glorify the Eternal from every level of fullness of life, miracles and the blessing to bless.
