17/01: USS Enterprise Day!!!!! Star Trek Day!!!!!

By the registry number of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701), many people recognize the date of January 17 as "USS Enterprise Day" and “Star Trek Day”. It’s a worldwide celebration! Happy 1701: Star Trek Day! It’s a tribute to edify generations, to boldly go…

The televised Star Trek series was created by Gene Roddenberry. Star Trek is iconic because in the 1960s, it managed to present to a world facing change and challenges, positive social criticism and a perspective on the future in which humanity overcame wars, racial and cultural divisions, and spread the message. of maturity and peace.

In Star Trek, the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 spacecraft was designed by Walter Matthew Jefferies (better known as Matt Jefferies). The famous ship transports us together with the crew captained by James T. Kirk, on a journey that, like life, can overcome routines, discover something new at each stage of existence, and grow in the face of trials. It is remarkable in the design of the ship that became home to these travelers in this interesting science fiction concept (science fiction that is real science in many advancements of the present), how the interaction of souls, science and explorer adventure, turns in around the direction provided by the command bridge.

Over the years, the successful founding series, kept alive by fans, continued to evolve into movies and new series. In the 21 century Star Trek has great presence and power in a world facing changes and challenges. We are part of the visionary future that begins today. Greetings and blessings to all Star Trek fans around the world and beyond; in particular to the heroic fans in Puerto Rico united in the USS San Juan.

“The glory of creation is in its infinite diversity”. –Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek

“Star Trek was an attempt to say that humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day that it begins not just to tolerate, but take a special delight in differences in ideas and differences in life forms. […] If we cannot learn to actually enjoy those small differences, to take a positive delight in those small differences between our own kind, here on this planet, then we do not deserve to go out into space and meet the diversity that is almost certainly out there”. --Gene Roddenberry
